Brooke does not know many alphabet sounds and word associations. We have been working on these using the butterfly chart.
She has sight words out in the back room. Every time she gets a blood test she says these words.
I have found an effective way to learn sight words and that is to write them on her hand and repeatatively ask her throughout the day. In some instances these are forgotten by the next day.
We use key cards and these are done each day with her.
